The Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) has been a staple for Fire Service as their battalion chief vehicles. These vehicles are usually small or mid-size SUVs that carry a more extensive array of equipment than the incident command vehicle. The Battalion Chief’s usually have a smaller command set up to support the needs of the incident until the main incident command vehicle gets there.
